Governing our professional commitment to luxury architectural design and premium construction services in Santa Monica.
1. Agreement of Service
By accessing this website or requesting a consultation, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. Santa Monica Remodeling provides architectural consultations, design master plans, and general contracting services strictly under these provisions.
2. Professional Consultations
Initial project walkthroughs and digital consultations determine project feasibility. A formal, legally binding "Construction Contract" is required before any structural work or permitting begins.
3. Architectural Intellectual Property
All design concepts, custom layouts, and 3D renderings developed by Santa Monica Remodeling remain my exclusive intellectual property. Use of these designs by third-party contractors without written consent is strictly prohibited.
4. Project Estimates & Pricing
Estimates are preliminary. Final project pricing is determined through granular analysis factoring in Santa Monica "Green Building" ordinances, market fluctuations for materials, and seismic requirements.
5. Permitting & Local Compliance
I manage the submission of all plans to the Santa Monica Building & Safety Department. Please note that City approval timelines are external factors and are not guaranteed within a fixed window.
6. Client Responsibilities
Homeowners must provide clear access to the property for site evaluations and surveys. Delays in access may result in a formal adjustment of the project timeline.
7. Payment Terms & Deposits
Payments for architectural designs and construction milestones are tied to City inspections or phase completion (e.g., Framing, Finishes) as outlined in your specific project contract.
8. Limitation of Liability
I am not liable for pre-existing structural damage or hidden dry rot discovered during demolition that was not visible during initial architectural walkthroughs.
9. California Law & Jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Los Angeles County, California.
10. Modifications to Terms
I reserve the right to update these terms as local building codes evolve. Continued use of the site constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
